Work produced during Field Work, a residency organised by SLAM - Curators Group. During my stay at IFö art centre I worked in relation to site specific objects, which emphasise IFös history, and postindustrial architecture. By covering the industrial objects with clay from the discontinued mines, I suggested a shift of this space, from industrial to conceptual. Eventually I encountered myself in the shapes and this process as a very subtle but effective approach towards inhabiting the place. To emphasise the nature of my activity during this residency I quote Ann Hamilton, “one doesn’t arrive in words or in art by necessarily knowing where one is going. In every work of art something appears that does not previously exist, and so, by default, you work from what you know to what you don’t know”.
